Art Path or Kunstpfad at the University of Ulm - presented by Dieter Waloßek
The Ulmer Kunstpfad runs partly through the university area at the Eselsberg, extending from the Science Park I along the main buildings and paths around them. Exhibited are art works/sculptures in different techniques and materials. Donors are institutions, organisations and companies.
The Kunstpfad exists since the late 80ies and had been expanded for some time. Spectacular and best visible during winter time is the artwork by the late Niki de Saint Phalle in the pond in front of the Univeristy Clinics named The Poet and his Muse showing a man carrying a woman on his shoulders. Restructuring and new buildings caused that some sculptures have been replaced or even removed. Some simply degenerated through time and have not been refurbished.
This page may be filled with more pictures and explanations some stage.
